Which is Better in a Single Conjoined Lens Overall, Prada or Versace? Part Two of Three: Prada

Saturday, August 16th, 2008

In Part one of this three part review, I explained how much cheaper the Versace label costed as opposed to hte Prada one. This pair of Prada is black as opposed to white which looks more like the exclusive price you pay for such a high fashion pair of sunglasses, $310 for these. The lens of this pair was thicker than the Versace which makes them harder to break, and bend for comfort. One trades comfort for durability. But I found that these were quite comfortable. They have a crease in the middle of the lens where the thickness of the lens gets smaller to make them more bendable. They fit snug to my face and when I put them on the top of my head they didnt fall off. The one caviot with these is when you touch any part of them, you get fingerprints and smudges on them. I was constantly having to clean them. The one part that didn’t fingerprints was the top part of the lens, which was where I touched them most of the time to ensure they wouldn’t get marked on. I was surprised how little of a fade there was. These blocked out an immense amount of sunlight and to my surprise only at the bottom of the lens was there a fade. Prada always does a good job of making their sunglasses look like they could be worn casually or to formal events. There is a slight hook on the temple which latches them on to your ears just enough to keep them on your face. You have seen the review for both pairs of sunglasses part three will be coming soon where I will wrap up the pros and cons of both pairs and give you my final word.
